Under the leadership of the new Coach, Coach Woolridge, Hardaway has gone from the bottom of the rankings to future playoff contenders. Next year has hype written all over it! When the football players were interviewed for the #NewHardaway article at the end of this year’s season, the word playoff just kept coming up.  Looking ahead to next year, I wanted to get a few words from a few of the rising seniors on their past, their present, and maybe their future experiences as Hardaway Hawks.

Because of their experience, the seniors tell me they feel a sense of responsibility. They feel a certain obligation to make this team better. Not only do they want to be play makers, they want to help the young players make plays as well. Fixing mistakes is key, and keeping the right mindset and attitude is a job the seniors have taken seriously.

Thinking about next year, the team’s focus is making the playoffs. For the overall goal of the season, it’s playoffs or bust. Not only is the playoffs a main focus but getting there means maintaining good grades. Without those grades, there really isn’t much you can accomplish after high school.

While looking forward to the future, this group of young men can’t help also looking back on the last three years.  All agree that they have come a long way- -fundamentals are better, improved field vision, a more intense work ethic and just generally more mature.

The Class of 2018 is proud to represent our Hawk football team. To them, the Class of 2018 is a family– on and off the field.
