Congratulations to the JV girls and freshman boys basketball teams. For the first time in 15 years, the teams traveled to Central and swept the Red Devils in basketball action.

The JV girls defeated Central with a dominating performance that resulted in a  40 to 23 score.  Leading scorers were Diamond McGilbery with 17 points, Dey Dey McKinney with 9, Kayla Brown with 5, Kayla Marsh had 4 points, Malika Crawford and Kierra Evans both with 2 points and Kennedi Strong added 1 point.

In the freshman boys action, after a very slow start and some motivation from the coaching staff, the boys turned up the defensive pressure to defeat Central by 4, 36-32.  Leading the way was Aaron Pitts with 13 points, Tramaine Kynard with 11, Daquan Bulger with 4, both Brian Fields and Emanuel Davenport with 3 , and Kentavious Day with 2 points.

Great effort by both teams! Way to go, Hawks!
