With less than two months left of school, seniors are anticipating walking across that stage, and knowing we’re finally done with high school. Though, many of us are wondering what comes next, we have to worry about college, living independently, or maybe even jumping straight into a career.

Come whatever may, it’s going be vastly different from life as a high school student. There are three different routes to take after graduation; immediately going to college, taking a “gap year” before going to college, or just never going. If you choose to go to college immediately, then you aren’t done with school just yet, and now you’ve got a chance to transition into the “real world” a little more slowly and smoothly.  Because, if you go to a university, you might have a dorm, or maybe you pay rent to live off campus which might even include utilities, and student loans. If you take a gap year, then you may be entering and exploring the real world immediately, even though you’re not quite done with school. If you stay at home, this gives you time to work and save up some money towards your college fund, have some rainy day money, or maybe even a head start for retirement. Last, if you choose not to go to college, then you’re entering the real world right away, but you might be lucky enough to have a career to jump right into, and not have to worry too much.

Whatever your plans are, Good Luck, Class of 2018! We are almost there!
