I know sometimes it’s hard to find a relaxing day to just go out on a Friday night and hit the movies! Maybe you think you have a million things to do for school– this may be homework, classwork you didn’t finish, or studying for test.

As a senior, I know it can be hard to carve out the time and the money to go out but, I also know you need a breather every once in a while just to sit back and watch a good movie with your friends. This includes turning off your cell phone and just sitting and watching a funny, dramatic, lovey-dovey, or a scary movie with your friends.

I have a great movie that is a combination of all these things. It is rated R, but I think once you watch the trailer and read my review you will really think about watching this movie one weekend.

My movie recommendation for you is PEPPERMINT.  Now, you may be thinking what in the world is?  Hang on because I got you! This movie stars Jennifer Garner as Riley North, a hardworking wife and mother of one child, who we as the audience will refer to as peppermint because that is the last thing she ordered off the ice cream menu before she dies.

This movie is really empowering and shows you how in some societies this can be a case of what happens to you for speaking out.

For Riley North would not be silenced…This movie captures your heart in the very beginning because of the connection between Riley and her daughter and the love she has for her husband and how all that was taken in a blink of an eye.

In this movie, Riley fights for justice for her family being killed right in front of her by gang-affiliated men, but because they had a lot of ties with police Riley did not get the justice she deserved right away…

I highly recommend this movie if you’re looking for something to go see!
