Are You Ready for the SAT?

Sign up in the Guidance Office

January 23, 2019

Are you ready for the SAT ? Have you signed up ? Have you taken it ? Most people put this off but, this is open to both 11th and 12 graders and this is something you should mark on your calendar and definitely sign up for because the SAT is right around the corner! There only is a certain amount of people who can sign up and if your reading this, why haven’t you done it yet? The thing is not everyone thinks these tests are important s0 they put it off to the last minute and then when they take it they are not prepared. Well, this is exactly what the BOOT Camp at Hardaway High School was designed for– helping you to avoid the pitfall of being unprepared.  The camp offers a limited amount of seats and trust me days are counting down, so reserve your spot now!  February 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium and lobby area is where you need to be!

It is a Friday so that means,  yes- you will miss a full day of classes. Why should I do this, you say?  The SAT is a standardized test;  it’s just like the ACT or any other important test you have taken before, but this test can help get you into a great college. The SAT stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test in case you’re wondering and it tests your ability in the following areas: critical thinking , writing and math. That’s it. No science like the ACT.

The scores of the SAT range from 200-800 points in each section for a total of 400-1600 points that you can earn from all sections. To sign up for the SAT or SAT BOOT CAMP, you should talk to Ms. Osborne or any of the counselors in Guidance. You can also get a waiver in Guidance, so the test is free!
