If you’re interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare, Mrs. Kelly’s HOSA program will be a great fit for you! However, the HOSA association at Hardaway is only available to students taking Healthcare Science during the school day. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA students and future healthcare professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA comes with dues, $30 to be paid as soon as possible. Promotional clothing is available to HOSA students, including a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, and a hoodie. To get all pieces of clothing and your dues paid is available for $75. A membership meeting for new and returning students will be held on September 6. If you are already in HOSA, it is recommended that you attend because information about future events and opportunities will be presented by Mrs. Kelly. This meeting, as well as all future meetings, will be held in Mrs. Kelly’s classroom, located in room 702 right outside of the 200 hallway. Meetings usually include food and refreshments, ample information and deadlines, and a happy atmosphere.

Events held by the HOSA association include the shoe box drive, a very festive and fun take on volunteer services where all students involved are invited to wrap their shoe boxes and mingle with other HOSA students. This occurs around Christmas time. Other events include the coat drive, and Teens for Jeans drive. There are many volunteering opportunities available to you by being in HOSA. This can help with your IB CAS hours, or simply give you the satisfaction of helping your community. There are no current officers elected for the HOSA program at Hardaway. This association is a wonderful group to be a part of because HOSA is a place to find many new friends interested in healthcare just like you. Mrs. Kelly is an amazing individual who will surely make you feel welcome and help you enjoy being a part of the HOSA association.
