Dr. Dre, otherwise known as Andre Young was an influential rapper who built his name with the popular rap group N.W.A. Some would argue however, his career really took off when he created his label. There he signed Eminem in 1998 and 50 Cent in 2002. Around this time Dre had amassed a large sum of money, which he donated to various charities. One of such donations was to the University of California (USC). He donated to the school for a musical arts program for students to become more involved in the world of music. Another charity that Dre donates/ funds is also with the University of California. Dre donates again to USC to help with the cost of building up the schools reputation and on ground things. Another way that Dr. Dre spends his money to help others and is teaching the young how to connect with their musical side.
